1. About These Terms

These terms govern your use of the Vellum website at vellumi.world and your engagement with Vellum's document organisation and household records services. Vellum is operated by Vellum, 41 Tha Phae Road, Chang Khlan, Muang, Chiang Mai 50100, Thailand.

By using this website or enquiring about our services, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or engage our services.

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand.

2. Nature of Our Services

Vellum provides organisational and informational services only. Our work involves helping households list, label, and arrange important documents and records. We do not provide legal, financial, tax, estate planning, or any other regulated professional advice.

Nothing we say, write, or produce in the course of our services should be understood as advice on formal legal matters, inheritance arrangements, financial planning, or any matter requiring a licensed professional. Where such guidance is appropriate, we will direct you to official sources and suggest you seek qualified professional assistance independently.

Our services are educational and organisational in character. The printed guides, summaries, and inventories we produce are for your household's reference only and carry no legal standing.

3. Service Engagements

3.1 Booking and confirmation

A service engagement begins when we have confirmed it in writing (by email or letter). Enquiries submitted through our website contact form are not confirmations of booking.

3.2 Our three services

We currently offer three services:

• Document Inventory Walkthrough — ฿3,900 — a single session helping you list and label important documents, with a printed inventory.
• Planning-Ahead Conversation Sessions — ฿14,500 — a series of sessions helping families talk through record-keeping and wishes, with printed guides.
• Household Archive Programme — ฿32,200 — a complete programme assembling a labelled household archive and family summary, with a home filing layout and family briefing.

3.3 Prices

Prices shown are in Thai Baht and inclusive of all Vellum fees. Any travel costs outside central Chiang Mai will be discussed and agreed with you before a booking is confirmed. Prices are subject to change; the price applicable to your engagement is that confirmed at the time of booking.

3.4 Payment

Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking. We typically ask for a deposit before work begins and the balance on completion. We accept bank transfer and cash.

3.5 Cancellation

If you need to change or cancel an appointment, please let us know as early as possible. Cancellations with fewer than 48 hours' notice may result in a partial fee being retained to cover preparation costs. We will always try to accommodate rescheduling where we can.

4. Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of any information you share with us during an engagement.
• Any decisions made on the basis of the organisational work we produce remain entirely your own. We do not make decisions about your affairs on your behalf.
• You are responsible for seeking qualified professional advice (legal, financial, or otherwise) for matters that go beyond organisation and general information.
• You agree not to misrepresent your identity or the nature of the household or documents involved in an engagement.

5. Handling of Documents

In the course of some engagements, Vellum staff may handle original documents or be shown their contents. We treat all such material with care and in confidence. We do not retain copies of original documents. Any printed materials we produce (inventories, summaries, guides) become your property and are handed to you at the close of each session or engagement.

We do not photograph, scan, or otherwise reproduce original documents without your explicit agreement, and only then for the purposes directly related to the service.

6. Limitation of Liability

Vellum provides organisational and informational services in good faith, but cannot accept liability for decisions made by you or others on the basis of our work. We are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the printed materials we produce, from errors in information you have provided to us, or from the actions of third-party professionals you consult independently.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for matters that cannot be excluded under Thai law.

7. Website Use

This website is provided for general information about Vellum and our services. We make reasonable efforts to keep the information current and accurate but do not warrant that it is always complete or up to date. The content on this site is not professional advice of any kind.

You may not use this website for any unlawful purpose, to transmit harmful or misleading content, or in any way that could damage Vellum or others.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — text, layout, and visual elements — is the property of Vellum unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce or repurpose any part of it without our written permission. The printed guides and materials we produce for clients are for your personal household use only.

9. Privacy

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates when they were last revised. Your continued use of this website or engagement of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
